Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant available from Pure Beauty OnlineIt’s the start of a new year and the likelihood is that your new year’s resolution will revolve around eating healthily and a new fitness regime. As you’re starting to detox and revitalise your body you should also think about revitalising your skin. Over the Christmas period your skin will have become loaded full of excess oil and other toxins that could lead to breakouts. In order to give your skin the same New Year treatment that you are giving your body you’ll have to be ready to take on a full on skin care routine including cleansers, toners, moisturisers and exfoliators.

Dermalogica has a whole range of products that will help you find your way to the perfect skin. Best selling products such as Dermalogica’s Multi-Active Toner, Active Moist, Daily Microfoliant and Special Cleansing Gel are sure to get back your skin’s natural youthful glow.

Dermalogica’s Special Cleansing Gel is suitable for all types of skin and will not leave it dehydrated thanks to its soap-free formula. This cleanser removes impurities and reduces congestion without altering the skin’s natural moisture levels, meaning that it remains continually moisturised throughout the day. The natural ingredients such as lavender and balm mint deeply clean and soothe the skin while removing any toxins that may have become trapped under the skin’s surface.

Dermalogica’s Multi-Active Toner is a great product that can be used throughout the day, every day. It is a convenient spray that is used to smooth the skin’s surface and condition it, in order to allow maximum moisture absorption.

Active Moist is one of Dermalogica’s best-selling moisturiser; it’s oil-free and great for everyday use. It contains silk amino acids along with a whole host of natural ingredients that work together to improve the skin’s texture, hydrate and soothe.

All skin should be exfoliated at least twice a week, in order to remove any dead or dying skin cells. These types of cells make the skin dull and can aid the blocking of pores. The Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant removes these cells with the help of grapefruit, liquorice and bearberry; at the same time the product uses a unique skin brightening complex that not only brightens the skin but also balances uneven skin tones.

It’s time to start the New Year with a complete new you so don’t just concentrate on your insides but also your outsides too.

active moist, bedtime for breakouts, dermalogica, special cleansing gel, treatment foundations

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel 500ml available from Pure Beauty OnlineAs the kids get older you’ll probably find it hard to buy them presents that they’ll actually use. The best way to get around this is to buy them something practical; they usually appreciate these kinds of gifts much more, especially if they’re students who can’t afford, luxury skin care or nice clothes etc. all of the time.

Buying them a variety of products from their favourite skin care range can be a real help as even the non-branded skin care products are expensive. Why don’t you have a look through the Dermalogica range? Every teenager and young adult will be extremely grateful for a spot treatment that works, a good cleanser and moisturiser and a foundation that’s not bad for your skin.

Take a look at Dermalogica Bedtime For Breakouts, Special Cleansing Gel, Active Moist and Treatment Foundations.

Dermalogica Bedtime For Breakouts is a night time treatment that should prevent them from developing spots in the future; it also reduces redness and removes dirt from clogged pores.

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel is soap-free so won’t dry out their skin, it doesn’t remove any moisture from the skin meaning that the skin’s natural moisture levels remain balanced and the skin is calm.

Dermalogica Active Moist is a light moisturiser that’s suitable for everyday use; it fights dehydration and helps to improve the skin’s texture. An abundance of botanical extracts provide the skin with deep hydration, leaving it soothed and calm.

Finally, Dermalogica Treatment Foundations are free from oil and draw moisture from the air onto the skin. The skin doesn’t become irritated by the natural ingredients and the colour is a true match to their skin thanks to natural non-sensitising pigments.

active moist, age smart, antioxidant hydramist, dermalogica

Dermalogica Active Moist 100ml available from Pure Beauty OnlineWhen it’s time to replace your beauty products do you get bamboozled by the sheer number of products that there are to choose from? There’s only one way to eliminate the products that are useless to you and to zoom in on the ones that could be great for your skin, and that is, to understand moisturisers.

Before you add a few more wrinkles to your forehead frowning at the number of products that are available you should take the time to learn about the different types of moisturisers and their ingredients and what they could do for you.

First of all, the main purpose of any moisturiser is to rehydrate your skin and then maintain the hydration throughout the day. However, the way in which moisturisers do that varies from product to product. Dermalogica Active Moist for example is an oil-free moisturiser – so great for even the oiliest skin – that uses natural ingredients such as mallow, cucumber and lavender to provide deep hydration.

When choosing a moisturiser you should also think about your age. As you get older you will require a moisturiser that is much more intense as your skin will lose moisture even more quickly. Dermalogica’s Age Smart System offers a great range of products that can be used alongside a daily moisturiser that will maintain your skin’s hydration. Dermalogica Antioxidant HydraMist offers intense rehydration to drying skin. It comes as a convenient mist spray that can be used throughout the day, whenever you feel like your skin could do with a boost.

active moist, dermalogica, gift sets, intensive moisture balance, skin smoothing cream

Dermalogica Gift Sets available from Pure Beauty OnlineThe past few articles have been about the Dermalogica limited edition gift sets that would make the perfect gift for a friend or a little treat for yourself.

If you are a regular purchaser of either Dermalogica’s Active Moist, Intensive Moisture Balance or the Skin Smoothing Cream you should seriously consider stocking up – whether you need it or not. At the moment, when you purchase one of these product Pure Beauty are giving you the chance to take home three brilliant products instead of just the one, so it’s basically buy one get two free!

Here take a look…

When you buy a 100ml bottle of Dermalogica Active Moist for the usual price of £31.65, you will also get a 13g tube of Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant and 10ml of Dermalogica’s Solar Defence Booster SPF 50. It’s as simple as that.

And it works in exactly the same way for the Intensive Moisture Balance and the Skin Smoothing Cream. If you buy a 100ml bottle of either one – or even both if you wanted to – then you’ll also receive the 13g tube of Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant and 10ml of Dermalogica’s Solar Defence Booster SPF 50. The only difference is the price, basically you pay the same price as you would usually pay for the 100ml bottle of each product so for the Intensive Moisture Balance that is £38.95 and for the Skin Smoothing Cream it’s £34.35. It doesn’t matter though because whatever way you look at it, it’s a bargain – all of the products also come in a convenient box (displayed on the Pure Beauty website).

active moist, dermalogica, oil control lotion, treatment foundations

Everyone wants to look the best that they possibly can when they’re planning a big night out on the town with the girls, although to stay looking your best, you should make the effort to prepare your skin before you head out of the door and into the cocktail bar.

However many hours you spend applying your expensive cosmetics, if you don’t provide these products with the perfect base there’s a very high chance of them sliding off before you’re even onto your second Mojito.

After cleansing and toning, apply an oil free moisturiser- like Dermalogica Active Moist to skin. This great moisturiser soaks into skin thoroughly, and doesn’t leave a greasy residue on the skin.

If your skin is prone to excess oil production, make sure you apply Dermalogica Oil Control Lotion before you apply your makeup too. This will go a long way in ensuring that skin looks stunning- rather than shiny- on your big night out.

Less is always more when it comes to base products too, so it’s a good idea to go easy on the thick foundation and instead use a lighter but just as effective product such as Dermalogica Treatment Foundation.

Prepare your skin properly for your big night out, and prepare for a night to remember.
