Dermalogica All Over Toner

New bags, shiny pencil cases, smart blazers and bus passes are often top of the list when it comes to back to school preparation, but what about skincare. Getting young people into a beauty routine is a good idea and what better time than now to introduce them to something new for their skin?

Cleanse, tone and moisturise is a good place to start, so we’ll give you the low down on that first and throw in some added extra so you’ve got all bases covered and top marks will be scored.

Clean skin is happy skin, so we would suggest using the Dermalogica Foaming Wash for deep cleansing and purifying morning and night. Perfect for teenage skin that is prone to acne and breakouts, this doesn’t strip away essential oils but instead washes away nasties that don’t help the skin. Meadowsweet has been added to protect against excess sebum, salicylic acid gently exfoliates away dead cells and reduces inflammation ,while tea tree oil kills bacteria.

Next to come into play is the Dermalogica All Over Toner. This refreshing, toner contains an impressive twelve gentle botanicals that refresh, energise and revive the skin in one go. We love that orange peel and lavender oil have been added to soothe skin and when you spray it onto the face, neck and back, after cleansing, the goodness gets straight to work.

Some people think that spotty skin doesn’t need to be moisturised, but this isn’t the case as the right products help skin look and feel better. What you might have been looking for is the Dermalogica Hydrating Lotion. This lightweight, easy to use cream helps soothe the discomfort caused by breakouts, while hydrating dry patches. Apply after toning and let the ginger, orange and grapefruit soothe and protect the skin, while plant based squalane softens and nourishes it.

OK, what next?

Well, we all love a pamper, so when the homework has been done, why not try a hot bath and pop on the Dermalogica Blackhead Clearing Fizz Mask. As you soak your troubles away, the mask will decongest skin so it is clear and blackhead free. Things don’t stop there, as added kaolin clay absorbs excess oil and apple is on hand to hydrate.

Last but not least, if the pimple pops up after PE, a bottle of Dermalogica Breakout Clearing Booster in the kit bag will do the job. Salicylic acid has been added to get rid of bacteria and phytoplankton extract prevents the over drying that can happen with some harsher products. The best thing is that it works in 15 minutes, so by the end of lunch skin can be smoother and worries will be over.

Fancy trying a sample or two? Get in touch and we would love to help.

Elemis Rehydrating Ginseng Toner

We bet you cleanse and moisturise, but we suspect that you don’t always tone.

Are we right?

If we are, you are missing out on a vital step in your skin care routine, so today we are going to showcase some of the toners we sell at Pure Beauty, and talk about why they are worth using.

We love the Dermalogica UltraCalming Mist, as do many of our customers. This soothing toner offers critical hydration, relieves inflammation and helps your skin to recover from damage. The unique UltraCalming™ Complex helps reduce sensitivity, redness and irritation, while Aloe soothes and the antiseptic qualities of Lavender, desensitises. After cleansing, spray the mist over your face, throat and neck and let the goodness sink in.

The Elemis Rehydrating Ginseng Toner is fabulous because as well as helping to level out PH levels, it also preserves your important natural oils. It’s the Ginseng that stimulates sluggish complexions, but also soothes and conditions tight, dry skin. Sweet Betty Flower rebalances skin without the need for alcohol and the overall effect is soft, happy skin that is fresh and ready to be moisturised.

Holidays might seem like a time when you can scrimp on toner, but there’s no excuse with the Decleor Essential Tonifying Lotion. This gorgeous toner now comes in a 50ml bottle, making it perfect for keeping your skin in tip-top condition when you are away. The soft lotion gently tones and reduces dryness as it moisturises your skin. Gentle and paraben-free, with Néroli Essential Oil that protects and repairs the skin whilst helping to fight dehydration, means your skin will look radiant.

Teenagers, or anyone with breakout prone skin, might think less is more when it comes to beauty products, but if you don’t use a toner you are missing a trick. The Dermalogica All Over Toner is a beautiful mist that controls excess oil and helps to eliminate breakouts thanks to the inclusion of Salicylic Acid. A blend of twelve gentle botanical ingredients refresh, energise and revive skin and thanks to antiseptic and anti-microbial Tea Tree, bacteria is no more. If you do have problem areas, before using a moisturiser, you could use the Dermalogica Breakout Clearing Booster. This fast-acting treatment works in 15 minutes and is great for rapid skin clearing. Phytoplankton Extract works with skin’s natural microbiome so it isn’t over dried, and a seaweed-derived extract soothes irritated skin.

The Elemis Balancing Lavender Toner tones your skin and leaves you with a fresh, clear complexion. Free from alcohol and harsh chemicals, this toner contains Extracts of Lavender, Sweet Betty Flower and Saponins which come together to soften your skin. By simply wiping a little of the liquid over your face after cleansing, you will remove any traces of your cleanser, brighten your complexion and encourage your moisturiser or night cream to really work for you.

If a toner is missing from your life, get in touch and we will help find your missing skincare link.

Elemis Aching Muscle Super Soak

Rosemary is a popular, fragrant herb and while you might think of it as a kitchen cupboard essential, it is pretty good when it comes to health and beauty too.

This little green diva comes with a bevy of benefits including moisturising your skin, supporting collagen development, fighting off damaging free radicals, and because it is an astringent, it helps to balance and tone too.

We have highlighted just a few of the products that contain Rosemary, on the Pure-Beauty website, and hope there is something which will catch your eye.

The Dermalogica Conditioning Body Wash is a rich, conditioning botanical cleanser and can be used on all skin types. Essential Oils of Tea Tree, Lemon, Eucalyptus and Rosemary come together to gently purify the skin, without stripping those all-important natural moisturisers. Soap-free Quillaja Saponaria extract leaves your limbs feeling soft and silky, and thanks to Sandalwood, Lavender, Orange and Clary Sage, you smell great too.

If you suffer with aches and pains, a soak in the bath with a liberal splash of Elemis Aching Muscle Super Soak, could be the fix you have been looking for. This natural foaming bath soak is energising and uplifting thanks to a blend of Birch, Juniper, Clove, Lavender, Thyme and Blue Chamomile. You will also find Rosemary in this bottle of goodness, and this has been added to help to stimulate the circulation and relieve joint pain.

We love the Jan Marini Bioglycolic Resurfacing Body Scrub because the combination of glycolic acid, exfoliating particles and botanical extracts, means smoother glowing skin that is silky smooth. Aloe, Chamomile and Rosemary Extracts are all found in this new product to Pure Beauty, and we are pretty sure you will love the way it makes your skin look and feel from the very first time you use it.

If you have dry skin, you might find the Dermalogica Essential Cleansing Solution is perfect for you. This rich, creamy cleanser, nourishes dry and prematurely-ageing skin as it cleans away dirt and impurities. Natural Safflower Oil softens and conditions the skin, Vitamin E smooths and conditions it, while the mild astringent properties of Rosemary and Lemon, refresh it. The overall result is clean, happy skin that is soft to the touch.

The Elemis Herbal Lavender Repair Mask is a balancing, calming treatment mask which has been created to decongest and heal blemished skin. As well as Lavender, this product also contains Rosemary and Thyme Essential Oils which are bound together in a Kaolin Clay base. When left on the face and neck for ten minutes, twice a week, skin will be purified, soothed and rebalanced, and if a more intense approach is needed, the mask can be left on overnight.

For more information about any of these products, or to try some samples before you make your final purchase, get in touch today and we would love to help.
